Ever try to paint a dark scene and have trouble seeing into the dark areas? Here's something that might help. I've been using this technique for many years. It's helped me alot! Enjoy!

Good trick and thanks for sharing it.

Painting dark images is hard indeed, specially with cheap monitor like my laptop.
As for painting dark images, here is my approach;
Convert the file to 16bit Cineon and use Photoshop Proof Color Short-key (Ctrl-Y or Command Y in MAC) to preview.
