Hi it's my first post and my first real matte painting. The goal is not to do something photorealistic. What do you think of the color? brightness? Light?....

It's a good start.
more contrast and sharp shadows will help it to look more realistic.

Looks great, but the blades of grass are WAY too big judging from the scale of the tunnel, mountain and tracks...

I like it, since the goal isn't photorealism, it reminds me of an anime sequence and how they do light and color. I can see it going into a backdrop for one of an animated scene and having a train go back with the grass swaying (tho they look big, it could be a stylistic choice of having them overgrown with long blades perhaps)
