I wantecd to ask a few tips from the guys that are already a pro.
what can be defined as a good portfolio?

3 works mind blowing with an animation and a making of , or several 2d works?

Good question but your answer can probably be answered by browsing through experience mattepainter websites and checking their reels. I would say thought that most professional reels show mattepaintings in use. Basically live action with a matte painting. This is after a compositor gets their hands on it tho which sometimes can be the matte painter. I would include the 2d matte, do camera projections and comping if possible.

by what you said i think i have more chance`s doing 2.5 mattes, since the lack of live action footage.
