Hmmm... seems okay now, though it took a while to show up. There doesn't seem to any problem with the html code - maybe CGsociety doesn't like hotlinking that much, or something.
This is a nice image, if a little matte-painting cliche (that's not a criticism particularly, just an observation).
The water looks way out of scale, though - the whole image looks like a minature shot in a tank, 'captain scarlet'-style, which you might want to look at. I think it's probably too reflective, on top of that, and doesn't actually appear to be flat in the bottom left hand corner - it looks like the lake surface has a definite slope to it.
The luminist 'pools of dappled light' is another matte standby you've gone for - but I don't quite buy it. With the cloud formations you've painted (lit from the opposite direction to the mountain), that's not what would happen - and even if it did, there should be shadows on the water as well.
I still can't see the image inline, but i did do a "view source" of this page, and found your link.
EDIT: I can see it now
I would have to agree with Alex on all points.
The dappled light on the mountains looks great, but it just doesn't work with the sky.personally, i would just replace the sky, or add more clouds to the right hand side
Also, there is a horizontal rectangle in the very top left hand corner. not sure what it is... looks like it is from a layer that didn't get color adjusted.
thanks for the replies guys. sorry bout the image problems will try and sort out a better image host. I agree with what you gus have said. the main hills lighting doesnt match the sky. I wasn't really going for dappled light, but was trying to show light direction but its not very succesful. any hints how I can show light direction and formand still have it match the sky.
