Specializing in large-scale action games based on blockbuster franchises, Double Helix, a division of Foundation 9 Entertainment, develops for all major home console platforms and has worked with a variety of high-profile properties including Star Wars, The Matrix, Indiana Jones and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

CURRENTLY HIRING :: SENIOR VFX ARTIST

Responsibilities:

• Designs and implements game play mechanics and/or user interfaces
• Interface with design team to ensure tools and processes to satisfy production needs
• Constructs solutions to unforeseen design problems in a timely manner
• Applies storing problem-solving/debugging skills in C++
• Identify technical risks and propose solutions
• Understands and flows a task schedule that is provided by the Lead
• Coordinates with Lead to communicate scheduling and progress information
• Interacts and communicates effectively with management on both a project and studio level
• Performs other similar or related duties as necessary
• Mentor junior level software engineers

Requirements:

• 5+ years game development experience with at least 3+ years working on engine technology or large game systems, such as AI, physics, networking and character systems
• Strong C/C++ software architecting and engineering skills
• Ability to work with other programmers to interface all project subsystems, including character control, AI, and physics
• Ability to develop and maintain software to aid in the testing of new systems
• Superior problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience implementing networked gameplay, AI, or physics
