[matte painting] color matching techniques?

Default [matte painting] color matching techniques? - 07-29-2011, 01:40 AM

these are some techniques i know about color matching (i hopu u understand what i mean

1. adjusting hue/saturation
2. the best for me, the match color feature in photoshop (image>adjustment>match color) works best for me

any other techniques that i miss?

or, just using the classic color balance/channeled levels and your trained eye :)

I use levels, and go channel by channel. Starting with the green... but I do follow a specific technique Mark Christiansen taught me.

99% of it is by eye. I have only used an automated process successfully in less time once.

I mostly use curves.They're an invaluable asset if used correctly.Sometimes I like to use Selective color if I want to work with the specific colors in my image.As far as other adjustment tools are concerned,I don't use them that much.
