An older piece, but I thought I'd post it anyway. Done in Photoshop and used Vue for FG rocks with paint over render in PS. Hope you like it!

Good work, I really the atmosphere and mood but it just that scale of foreground rocks looks wrong to me. I think it is too detailed and the foreground fog makes it look like huge mountains.

I really like the atmosphere.I am no professional,but I'll give you my thoughts;I feel that foreground rocks take too much away from beautiful background(houses,vegetatition,river/lake).

indeed, good atmo, but the main problem is that 2/3 of the image is occupied by uninteresting rocks and only the top has any japanese village at all :) I would crop it to the top part and the increase the resolution/detail

nice work trough, i also like atmosphere. I must disagree with Suirebit...if your idea is about vertical pan or camera movement from bottom part to village, then it will work fine. Maybe only thing you need to do is add more light to bottom part.

thanks for the comments guys. this painting was used for a camera pan, hence the vertical composition and the large rocks in the FG where the camera starts.
