Here is a good tutorial on 3D paint over / photobashing from Ben Mauro at more of a concept art level, I would say the same workflow applies to matte painting as well with more emphasis on photo...

Nice one Pedro, I think a bit too much light wrap, softness and glow are taking the photo realism out of this piece. Also lighting seems a bit blotchy at some places but overall good work!
