It is quite styled at the moment to be a matte painting and its more at concept level for a matte painting, for the color I think you should stick as much close to the original...

Good effort there Powell, apart from black levels do check your perspective and edges and also it would be a good idea to degrain / denoise your references and original plate before you do the DMP...
