Hi,
I think you have the will and discipline to paint, but you lack a bit of what I call 'smart artistic look' on your paintings. Never heard of it? Might be cause I just made it up. Here's the problem, you get the whole photocollages in concept pieces thing but it seems to me that there's no artistic touch on these.
Don't just try to paint what you see and try to give it a painterly look. Try to imagine the coolest possible scenario and composition and don't be afraid to try new things, get messy with it. That's how you'd achieve that painterly look that'd be attractive to the eye.

Paint what you'd love to paint, eventually you'll find your rhythm and create things you didn't know you could create.
