First impression:
The print quality is stunning.
Just by looking at the front cover picture (which I‘ve seen the digital version before)
I noticed that there are so much more in the picture that never caught my eyes before.
I could see good, bad and the ugly.
In either case you will learn a lot just by studying the details.

2 more pages and you see the Title of Tutorials (great value here)

Another page and you will see the breath taking details in the “Coruscant governmental district (Star Wars III)"

Then, there is the tutorial and behind the scene techniques.
Here I’m almost disappointed.
Now I want to see every detail with the same scale as the first image.
But reading through the tutorial,
I found it to be very informative and well written.

It will follow by more beautiful artworks which will be
a good reference to come back to again.

And then there is another breath taking picture,
looking to see who did that, and it’s “Yusei Uesugi” again.

Continue browsing the book and I just realized that the
price for these books are right and it does worth the investment.
- Overall it is a great learning material.
- It is a good reference book to have beside the first book.

- And it is recommended by MattePainting.Org

- The only way to improve it for the next one would be to
print more detail section for each artwork.
- Also I don’t mind if instead of 3 there was10 professional
authors working on one book.
- As for the “Video Walkthrough”, I did not receive that, so …
Thanks to
Max Dennison, Yusei Uesugi, Chris Thunig, Mark Snoswell, Daniel Wade, Paul Hellard, Lauren Stevens, Daniel Cox and all the artists who contributed to the book.

I had my doubt about this release, but after seeing it. I did change my mind.
It is indeed a reference book for any mattepainter.

I have the video walk through from pre-order. It was very informative about the process of the artist. Although he repeated quite a lot, just the layer separation and the part about the process was excellent.

I'm completly agreed with Maryam. This "book" is really really stunning. I recieve it last week & I was so happy to see it. I love Raphael Lacoste's work & in it I found some of his work...stunning & lovely as usual. The price is wort it....this is my opinion.
