Okey I'm trying to create pure "painted" mattepainting. I got question how would you try to paint this kind of details:

I just want to paint everything. My problem is that there is a lot of hard edges here and there and when using brush with hardegdes the color blending isn't so nice and when using softer brush its too soft. Do you have soem tips. I'm using mostly brush with in "other dynamisc" settings opacity jitter and flow jitter controled by pen pressure (I guess this gives me the best control over smooth color blending).

Using different blending methods.
Linear Dodge, multiply etc, can bring out hard details.

Check out this tutorial on creating planets, it's probably the most famous tutorial of its kind.

The methods he uses to bring out the shadow details on the planet may be applicable to what you're trying to do.
