How to rotate canvas in Photoshop?

What is a quick efficient way to rotate canvas in Photoshop?

I tried making a few actions that rotates the canvas clockwise/counter-clockwise in 1 or 5 degree increments...but as the image gets larger with more layers, the process takes considerable longer time and hence not efficient. Often I end up just rotating the wacom ...but its not what I want to do everytime.

What techniques do you follow..for rotating canvas?

I just found out that rotating the whole canvas isnt a good idea in photoshop ..cause each time the canvas is rotated, photoshop will resample the whole image..and thus result in tiny loss of quality...unless they are 90, 180, 270 degree rotations. No wonder it takes time when I rotate the canvas.

Thanks for the layer tip, Imohhep85. Rotating the layer seems nice and easy, however I would very much like to see the whole image rotated instead of just 1 layer.

Seems like I might have to try out Corel Painter demo to see how that works out for me.

I really wish Photoshop did have that funtionality. It is one of the things that I love about Painter.
