View Full Version : LAYERSLAYER -- matte painting tool for Photoshop

Hey guys, I just am finishing up tweaking the final stages of a matte painting tool/color pipeline for Photoshop. Most of you know the routine, you get a log tiff or Cineon file, or get a 32 bit linear EXR and have to do some funky stuff to get it to look right to paint on, and in the end it's a hassle. Well I've managed to take the Fnord Cineon Converter plugin and wrap it into a nice automated process that takes the user error out of the equation, and even manages versions and naming. Take a look at this thing and let me know what you think!

Thanks guys! It's not available to the public yet, but in a week or two when I get all the bugs absolutely worked out for sure, I'll be posting it up. I'll put a notice up in this thread when it comes up. In the meantime if any of you guys have questions about it or want to know more, You can contact me at zachm@zachrm.com

Thanks a lot Zach for making it available for free!

I installed it but I am getting the following error

"Error 8800 : General Photoshop error occurred. This funtionality may not be available in this version of Photoshop. - The parameters for command "Convert to Profile" are not currently valid. : Line 98 ->

Is there anything I did wrong with the installation, do I have to create any custom color profile for proof color (viewer lut)? I am getting all the LS_generic profiles in the my settings though but something seems to go wrong.

Btw I am using Photoshop CS5, version 12. 64 bit.
