Hiya. I wrote up this thing about painting mountains a while ago because a guy on CGTalk requested it - it's not rocket science, but maybe it'll be of use to some here as well.

Ooo, thank you very much! I've been trying to get my hands on as many painting tutorials as possible. I want to get a few DVD's but I can't spend a whole lot all the time, saving for an XL2 :)

thanks for this simple and efficient tutorial.
I like your approach to base your concepts on the references without copy entirely your references. This is better i think for imaginative works.
