He there,

I would like to say that this site is the answers to my prairs. I am very enthusiastic about mattepaintings because I love and respect it so much. I am myself an allround VFX Artist, but mattepaintings is something new for me. I would just like to show some of my first work... and let you guys critque it... :)

Mdalaran,

Hey Mdalaran, good to see you over here...I've seen a couple of those pieces posted before. :) Roughly, how long did you spend working through them?

Whats up!!!!

Nice work there! I liked very much the snow scene, but i think that you can improve the snow. They still look artificial to me.....

Hi Meurer... wassaaaap!

Thanks for your reply. Yeah I am still a newbie when it comes to Mattes, but the advantage I have is that I do have experience with compositing... but mattes are for the real "Art" of Visual effects...

Hi Mdalaran.

I know the feeling ... he he he

You are doing a amazing job. Stay posting.

Another thing i saw. In the firs photo, the edges of the left trees are to dark. Perhaps a Hue/Saturation or a Level balance resolves it.

YEAH!!!
