Junior 3d Graphics Artist
Job Specification

Jagex Ltd., developer and publisher of the massively popular and expanding multiplayer online adventure game RuneScape, is looking for Junior 3D Graphics Artists to join the Graphics team on a permanent basis.

Key duties include:

Development of 3D graphics for RuneScape using in house graphics tools
Development of 2D graphics for the Jagex/RuneScape website
Assisting in all graphical requirements for the company.

Requirements:

Should have an understanding of modeling, animation, lighting and rendering
Experience of creating low-polygon count models, and working with maximum size/complexity limitations
Knowledge of basic animation techniques, e.g. timing, key frames, rigging skeletons, mesh deformation etc
Knowledge of paint shop 5 or above or similar paint package, and also an understanding of application of textures to meshes.

Also useful:

Ability to be able to pick up new tools quickly
Knowledge of Blender
2d texture skills
An interest in computer games


The successful candidate must be capable of creating high quality low-polygon models and working within limitations to tight deadlines. Candidates must provide a CV with examples of previous work (either emailed or a website link).

Salary: 16-21k depending on experience, plus annual bonus, health care, gym membership and other benefits.
