Hi guys !
I'm working on a new matte painting challenge and I need some expert critics.
I've done different trials, now I need your help to choose the best one.

1. More fog on background and a candle light inside the church

2. Same as above but without the candle light
http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/9028/conceptmorefognolight.jpg

3. Less background fog and the candle light inside
http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/8707/conceptlessfog.jpg

4. Less background fog and no light
http://img2.imageshack.us/img2/6018/conceptlessfognolight.jpg

5. A darker and foggy version

Hey man, looking good, been following this on CGTantra

Right now the white church tower is sticking out to much and not fitting. To fix this i think you should cut away at the siding and roof a bit, right now you just have straight lines. If you mask and follow the nature of the roof shingles and siding i think you can get it to look more natural and rugged like the rest of the structures.

Thank you man for reply!
The white tower is a part of this church for real (as you can see in my CGTantra post), I've done some little improvements and this is my final image.

Much much better, nj. I also like the candle light. gives the eye a nice focal point. I think you got that challenge..

Not a big change, I'm trying to fix the focal point, that is the window on church tower.
I really need some feedback!!!

Hi,

Here is my 2 cents.

I really like where you're taking this, but I personally prefer when the candle light is on in the church. You could maybe keep both on and vary the intensity, to create a bit more depth.

For your focal point, I'm not sure if you're using the golden rule or the rule of thirds, but there is too much space on the right (especially if you want the focal point on the church tower's window).

The church and church tower feel disconnected from each other(which might have been a personal choice), but my eyes keep going back on the church on the left window. Maybe less details on the church and more on the church tower.

Hope that helps a little.

thank you neo20275, I'm come back to the previous light solution, I've tried 2 lights but don't work.
