Hello

Itīs a matte I did for a 3d shot in about 5 hours....
I can see a lot of mistakes, but the worse one is the montain in the background.. I donīt know what to do to mix with the sky...

Its a good start, however you might want to rethink your composition. What is the main focus of the shot. If its the volcano then you might make it the most promenent part of the scene. Also dont pick a sky color that blends to much with the lava flow. Perhaps a darker sky, more cloud cover with light reflecting from the volcano onto the underside of the clouds. Your eye naturally gravitates towards the lighter or brighter values so when everything is close to the same value it tends to blend together. Your perspective is good and the scale of the objects reletive to each other is good. Keep working at it,your well on your way. You may also want to look at reference material of real lava flows (Hawaii) and look at the contrast values.
