Cinematics Matte Technical Director
Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a talented matte technical director to join our award-winning cinematics team. You will be responsible helping the team by troubleshooting many of the technical aspects of the matte painting pipeline, modeling, rendering, compositing, and developing shaders and tools for various projects.

Responsibilities
• Model in Maya, 3ds Max, Mudbox, and Zbrush.
• Perform UV editing and basic Photoshop texture painting.
• Create environment elements in Terragen, Vue, GeoControl, and WorldMachine.
• Set up projection cameras.
• Script tools and procedures with Mel, Python, Tcl, and Javascript.
• Develop materials and shaders in Slim/Renderman Shading Language.
• Prepare lighting and rendering passes/AOVs in Renderman, Mental Ray, and Brazil.
• Composite in Nuke or Shake.
• Create shot structures in proprietary database.
• Troubleshoot issues as they arise.

• Solid technical and traditional art skills in color, lighting, and composition
• Strong team and independent work ethic
