Matte Painter needed for great challenges!

Alpha-Vision is North American’s leader in state-of-the-art, computer-generated renderings and animations in the fabulous virtual architectural world.

The matte painter will create visually stunning virtual architectural environments for future luxury homes, buildings and high-rises. By creating an atmosphere unique to each of our client’s styles, he will offer his artistic expertise to the team in order to enhance our Animation and Hi-Rendering products. He will also play a key role at the beginning of each project by offering unique concepts to help the client to refine his vision.

Qualifications:
Diploma in Arts or Photography
Experience 3 years minimum in films and/or video games
Expert in Photoshop
3D software knowledge
Deep understanding of texturing, lighting and perspective principles
Strong skills in drawing, composition and colour matching
Demonstrated skills in reproducing photo-realistic imagery with digital tools
Excellent artistic eye for a visual quality

I do matte painting for film and commercials, with a BFA in fine arts, many years experience in photography, environmental design, several years as an architectural model builder and architectural illustrator. Oh, about eight years as a industrial product designer. Yes, I read blueprints.

Here is an idea;
You can sponsor a challenge in this forum and post a sample for artists to work on.

This way you get to find the best candidates and see different approaches.
And there is a chance for beginners like me to try it too.

A good prize for the winner should attract some professionals too.
