work in progress- space scene

Hi,

This is my first post here ( I think), and more or less my second mattepainting..

So it's space scene, and it will have way more details before it's finished.
There is no air , so I cant use fog to hide mistakes or add depth to it .. I just have to figure out something else to get that depth...any suggestions?

Anything else?...hmm..It's going to be background for dollyshot.I just havent figured out what to put to the foreground :D ??!!! maybe astronauts feet standing top of the hill?

Any critics are more than wellcome!!

Looks good, I like the mood.
Size and texture of similar objects such as the scattered rocks can help to establish depth in the scene too.

Thanks Homer, good point!

I have made few bigger rocks to the foreground now, to ad more depth. I also started to paint crashed spaceship top of that ' station'.. I think the scene looks more meaningfull now.
