hi to everyone on this most wonderful site,
the standard here is so high its taken me ages to build up the Courage to post a few pics for you guys to crit
i would also like to say a big thanks to everyone for the constant inspiration i get from browsing the fine works here

They all look good.

Although it looks like you are starting with small size.
If so, try starting with 4000 pixel images, this way you can get in and paint some detail as well.

You are off to a good start here mate. Try loosening up you brush strokes a bit and you will probably find it helps to give a more natural feel to your work.
Its usually the other way around that people are too heavy with colour, but for you i think you should feel more confident to throw in some more colour.

Keep working away!

thanks for the tips space-sprayer (my old art teacher always told me the same things lol) finding the balance between detail and suggested detail is a tough one day i hope to get it right,
and thanks for the kind comment britishrebel04 its my fav too when i was doing lots of oil paintings i was always sad when i had to paint over the mono tone underpainting.

Hey Hazy,

I really like the atmosphere of the first painting you did in this group. How did you get the ripples in the water to look so realistic? I find myself still having trouble accomplishing that.

Hi ..... I think u must add some foreground extra & micro details to maintain the depth & try to avoid foggy & blur look.......& few of your art work is center position composition...... try to avoid it also.........other wise you sounds......really good

britishrebel04 i cheated and used painted over a water photo im still having lots of troubles getting water water to look realistic by hand so for this pic i did it the easy way :)

hi guys been ages since i last updated so here go :)
i know these arn't drawn but was easer to put them on here than satart a new thread
this one was a basic model made with Vue with lots of photoshoping i tryed to keep it lose and styalized
