Hi,
Here's the latest Matte I've been working on. Its based on a photo of Ham House I took during the summer. I wanted to change the season and also roll back time. I added the tree to help focus the composition. I realise that the snow would be added in later, but I wanted to give an idea of what the final image would look like. I hope at some point to create some smoke and snow in Maya and composite it in using shake. I've got to a point where I could really do with some feedback before I can call it finished. I'm sure there are lots of things that jump out that I just can't see at the moment. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciates. Once I've made the final adjustments based on peoples feedback I'll post it along with an .avi to show the effects in motion.

I like it, not sure that there is much that I could add as it sounds like you have all the next steps considered already. Some extra snow in the valleys and eaves might help and then some light coming from inside the house.

You could also add to the symmetry and formality by adding some sculpted foreground planting along that axial route/view up to the main entrance. That would also give you more opportunity to have a play with painting in snow.

Just looking forward to the next stage really.
