Woah, I love this piece! It stuns you at the beginning with an awesome sky and then you find the hidden elements later like the human figure hiding in the dark. Very well composed. The only comment for improvement is a minor thing; I think that tree nearest the sun is a bit flat at the bottom considering the tall grass that it is sitting in, but I may well be wrong.

With that sky and dark areas it reminds me of a painting from the Hudson River School artists, Africa style.

Thanks Egan
I think you are right with the trees and I try to make some adjustment on their.
After I'll put my photoreferences for this piece...
Bye

This is a really great piece, I love the light and colour. My only crit would be that the tree and elephant seem a little small in scale compared to the figure. Otherwise its stunning work.

The shadows being cast by the trees are far too harsh considering they are falling onto a very broken up surface (the long grass).
Also, they feel a little bit random just places in there, it would be more natural if they grouped a bit and there were changes in the ground around them. Remove the people and animals too, or offer a version without, because those kind of elements would never be in a matte painting.

Nice colour pallette and atmosphere. Keep it up

hey,

there's sth weird going on with the shadows (still) that's quite distracting imho; and the building is off in perspective and scale.
Furthermore I'd really suggest that you don't take any un-altered images from online sources. I immediately recognized this sky from cgtextures.com
It kinda destroys the illusion when you know at the first look that it's a photo-manipulation.

Otherwise, however, good work. I'm curious to see how u gonna progress with it.
