Hi Yong!

Great looking piece of artwork! I'm afraid I can't crit the work as I'm still learning (well always learning) about matte painting.

Just wanted to say that it's looks cool though. :)

Great start.
Somethings that might need more attention;
- More reflection on the water surface
- Consistency in light and shadow
- The giant trees in the left are lit from wrong direction and the matte lines on them are too visible.

If you spend a bit more time defining the shadows and make them a bit darker, it will look even better.

apart from Homer's comment I think you should also consider to keep your mountains low and also add more fog on the horizon. By the way I like your concept and its looking good, finally its also good idea to add few boats to show some activity on the lake.

I noticed you made some pretty huge changes to your mountains in the second image, and I have to say that I think the mountains worked much better in the original piece. They gave a great feeling of the city being embedded in them and gave a much better scale than does the second piece. Either way, great work!
