Final Fantasy (retro)

The last images I posted were actually (inappropriately) concept paintings rather than matte paintings so I thought I would dig up a couple old paintings that I liked and post them as well.
One (for thoe of you who saw Final Fantasy) is the crater where the phantoms hit earth and the other is the closing shot.

Very nice work Richard. I must admit Ive not actually seen Final Fantasy. I heard that it wasnt as well recieved as was hoped? Is it still worth seeing from an inspirational/techinical perspective though?
