Been working on this Matte Painting for a while and its getting close to being done. I think I'm at a point now where I need some fresh eyes on it. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I think it should stay monochromatic, or at least -almost- monochromatic-, but not black and white, a cold subtle blue tone would work well.
The mountains further away imo dont work so well the edges are too hard against the sky i think

Thanks for the comments. Yeah I agree those back mountains need a bit more blending and atmosphere. The reason its black and white is that I'm shooting the film in Blk & Wht 16mm so I figured this way I could focus more on values and composition. I wanted to go for that old universal horror film look.

I like the B&W approach... it's looking good.
reminds me of the "The Tetons--Snake River" by Ansel Adams

I would love to see some of the film once you are done.
good luck
