Hey all been a bit, been busy!

Here's a matte I was busy with. This matte is for a independent film coming out soon. I had to recreate a night matte with a old light house/house which sat at worlds end... on the horizon approaches a storm. You can see below the original concept done by a unknown artist and then my interpretation. This was very challenging because it was so custom and had to look a certain way so alot of this was painted and I had to recreate the buildings in 3d b.c it was one of a kind.

thats strange but i have donne this mattepainting!!! in the last firts matte i have done, its the reverse view of this, maybe "The Obolus" the short movie the director have take a lot of differents matte-painters, because i work too on the same project...

Ya the obolus, Im sure they did get more then one mattepainter in case something happened. I did turn mine over a day late because school started and between teaching there to other work and them pushing a deadline up 2 more weeks, i couldnt get it in on time :\

My matte is on the server of obolus, i done my matte more " realistic" not to much magic ambience like your matte, i take care of the colors from the reverse shot with the car, and i put the same colors for my matte like that if you see the shot from the other point of view, with the car, and my matte, its the same color palette, i have used too the sames kinds of leafs to respect the ground.
Now i wait the project its finish and after i put the matte in my website :D
