Hey everyone, just started looking at his forum on Sunday and am so impressed with the quality of the work. I decided to have a go myself :roll: I've used photoshop to make websites and promo material before, but never had a go at Digital Matte...

This is my first matte painting. Took me 3 days on and off to complete, and wanted to do something a little bit different. All done in photoshop... :D

Different kind of matte..interesting. But the source of light confuses me. Just try to flip the clouds horizontally and soften the lights and shadows abit. It's gonna bi ok i think. Nice job.

One thing I think that would help the guitar look like it is really in the clouds is to addjust where the guitar meets the clouds. As it is you have just made the photo more transperent. Wispy transparent clouds wouldn't have that kind of shadow going on I don't think.
What time of day is it?

Hey guys.. thanks for the advice. I tired to make it look like its just about 5AM in the morning... a bit of light comging through but the moon still has a brilliance about it.

i'll have a look at those clouds and see if I can tweak them a bit...
