Hi there !
I wanted to share some of the work I did on Doomsday by Neil Marshall.

It was a very cool project with a lot of mattepainting.

Nice stuff Ludovic.
Looks like you actually painted a fair old bit on the suburb shot.

Have Dneg found their matte painters yet?

looks nice, but the lighting and color at conner of sunset one is odd for me, maybe you should raise the sun a little bit or fix the shadow and light if you do't wanna move the sun...

Great work, only just spotted these because of the new "highlights" section that Maryam has added.

I really like the panoramic, especially the rooftop detail in the nearby buildings, reminds me of Hong Kong with every bit of space (and air) being used for something. Some of the new architecture on the horizon is a bit flakey but they are so far away it doesn't matter. I haven't seen the film yet, how do your mattes get used?

ccjwurkx, I agree with you, the sun should have been a little higher to get this lighting but the director wanted to see it in the shot, we had to cheat a little :)

lightwell, you could have seen the panoramic mattepainting in the trailer of the movie. we had some smoke, fire and some CG helicopter in this shot.

Hi everybody !
it's been a while.

Just to let you know that I will move my website on this blog soon :

http://overthetruth.over-blog.com/

It's better because we can talk with the comments of the matte, share some tips and tricks about the technics we use in matte.

Cheers
