If you need large scale photo reference material for free on just about any subject, most of it high quality/hirez, You can search by subject.
I have a gallery there if you search for DigitalFX. I've found a ton of 2K plus stuff. You'll see a lot of 1200x1600 material because for several years the site limited to that size, but most of the newer stuff is much bigger. Enjoy. Check out
