Hi all,

I posted a work in progress on this piece and now here is my final version. I used three main photographs and a lot of painting to get the final desired effect. As i am new to the forums i would really appreciate any feedback or comments you have. Enjoy!

It looks good,
but I think the horizon line should be a bit further down.

I lke the feeling of it! :)
What i would change though,is the moon(too big in my opinion) and the texture of the sea.(seems a little flat and frozen)

Thanks for the tips guys. I agree with you both. I have made the changes and the link stays the same, the image above shows the update.

Thanks again

OK, another quick update
Thanks for the comments guys. I have made a few changes since your replys. I added some subtle waves to the see and corrected the moonlight. I also lowered the horizon a little so the perspective works a little better. The image has been updated and uploaded to my site so the link to the image above has changed to the changed version. Any more comments?

Cheers

Nice effort Tim, I especially like the birds - good touch. How did you go about making the rain? I just wonder if it might be worth acentuating the effect closer to camera and having larger droplets, to my eyes they become slightly lost in the black foreground and castle walls at the mo.

I like the image.
I don't like the rain, it looks like some layer and filter effect in photoshop that's has very little done to it.
