I've posted two video tutorials on working with Photoshop image layers, actions and brushes. They're short, 5-8 minute videos that walk through various painting techniques and configuration set-ups for creating PS brushes or removing drop shadows from the edges of image layers.

The tutorials are product centric, but the principles and actions apply to image layers and brush creation in general. Hopefully, they contribute to the knowledgebase as well. If nothing else, you'll come away with 20 free PS foliage brushes and a couple of PS actions. Have fun.

Painter users will find a larger selection of tutorials, including some longer demonstrations on creating and using tiling pattern paints and brushes as well as image hose nozzles. Professional artists working in 3D texturing may find some of these particularly useful; at least I hope so.

I just watched these through and they were great! Very informative and well made. The fronds were really nice too. A good asset for a matte painter.
