Check out the article on www.eitechnologygroup.com (http://www.eitechnologygroup.com) about the Star Wars Menu DVD's. I had opportunity to re-imagine the original matte paintings from the archives, and turn them into menus. Quite a privelage to connect with work I admire so much, and quite informative to re-engineer their problems to solve in a 3D world.

Although the time crunch did not allow me to fully trick out the 3D paintings for the menus as much as the fan-boy in me would like, I am very proud of the work Van Ling and Lucasfilm allowed me to contribute to.

So go to the site, and enjoy the behind-the-scenes on the menu production.

wow dude!

Thats just plain awsome! This article gave me a lot of inspiration and understanding how camera projection works. Great article... must have been really going to work everyday with the knowledge knowing to work on Starwars on a different way...

Ever thought about writing an tutorial about camera projection mapping, or explaining it in depth how it is done? would be great!
