A First Matte

Here my first Matte Painting. I started with a single picture, found on the web. Matte made with photoshop, animated on after effect and maya for 3d elements (car and grass)

This looks pretty good. The comp isn't bad either from what I can tell from that resolution. The only thing that bugs me is the fence poles. The ones in the mid-fore ground seem to have lost there base. Also a tip for doing flash lightning in your comp, find an edge of one of the clouds and have behind that as your hot spot, then brighten the rest. It's best if you ofset this by a frame.
Overall a really good effort.

Good job,
My suggestion;
Darken the bright area on the ground in the beginning of the shot
Make high contrast shadows of the post and front layer of 3d grasses when lightning happens.
Give the camera a sense of movement from left to right to see some parallax effects.
