Mountain matte

Hi everyone, my first post here, Im all new to mattpainting and these are my first atempt for a mattepainting, Its not a very big change from the originals, but a wanted to try something small first, Everything is handpainted using just a photoshop brush, tell me what you think, im not all to happy with the mountain in the first pic, will try to fix it..

This is a very good start.
It's always better to start from small changes and as you get more experience, take it to the next level.
Just keep them as photo realistic as you can.

Yea, that's looks pretty good so far, it's still convincing...I find when starting out one of the best practices that worked for me was finding good quality images of landscapes cluttered with man made objects, and just try to remove them all, and keep it completely realistic. Good work though, don't stop now, keep going with it... :)
