This is a shot that me and my buddy sam feske did together did for our vfx class.

It is two different plates of video from WWII reenactment footage from fort snelling mn. The plate on the right has some drastic color change due to the sun comming out behind a cloud. Sam matched all of the color with a few different roto shapes and some color adjustment. I tracked the Plate on the right and matched it up with the other one, the matte painting was done by me, the trees are paintined losely and the buildings are simple 3d models(we had to have a 3d element in our project).

Matte Painting: apprx 2 days.
Compositing: 1.5 weeks

Any comments are welcome as always.

I think the painting is good, a little too much of a feather on the tree line. I think you could make it a little more organic along the tree line, and reduce the red in the overall color.

Good work.
