Another experiment on my matte.......animation !!!

a waterfall in frozen water is quite strange...and the ship move is too "flat". The birds are nice.
(ehi, this is only my opinion!!! :D )

he he, i agree with you, it was just a test of Particle Illusion...for the ship, it's a picture...i didn't want to recreate it with 3D.. i know i should have...
it was a very good exercice...

Your boat needs a wake.

The surface affect that you have on the water looks good but feels way to fast, almost as if there is a strong wind blowing. How did you do that affect?

I also like the birds.

i did it with Particle illusion too....it's a waves effect that i composite with my picture... :D

The penguins, and the people in the boat have no movemnet to them. It seems very static. If you wanted you could give the clouds a little movement, and add a slight parallax shift to the background because the camera is moving. The matte panting is very nice, but if you want the shot to be as real as possible, I think you need some movement from the penguins and people in the scene. If possible shoot some live action and comp them.

The shot has a very good look, it just needs some movement. Nice work.

i guess particle illusion is a quite simple but very useful software. For the boat, i guess that should be enough if you move it up and down just a little, not necessary a 3d modeling. A simple roll (..??i guess ...???) move may look more realistic.

the reflection of the boot on the water is not moving with your ship!
but overall its very good at this point! :wink:
