i'm a newbie in matte painting and here is my firts attempt...

this is a learning process...
so hope the pro here can guide me on developing this matte painting...

Wrong forum though :P Image looks fine. I would change the bright clouds to match the mood with your horizon. Everything else looks good for your first attempt :)

wrong light on the top bright clouds...if you wanna keep them then you really gotta darken+recolor them (cause the light source is somewhere middle-left, yellow-orange). And it's more of a photomanip job then a matte painting...
