Does anyone have any tips for painting in trees? Such as tree detail placed in the mid or background...

find a photo reference? :D you ussualy don't *paint* trees...that's why we are matte painters haha

Hehe yeah, I would rather find a photo reference, or maybe a good 3D model or something.
You'll find a variety of tutorials on painting trees on the tutorials page here: http://www.gardenhose.com Problem is, assuming it's a problem at all, you'll need Painter or Paint Shop Pro as the approach uses nozzles or tubes.

This is a coconut palm created using one of the coming Photoshop versions. Oddly, because it was unexpected, the PS version was easier to use and more precise than painting with nozzles.
