Greetings! NW Film Studios in Bellingham, WA is looking for a matte painter for post work on the film 'Bullet Face.'
You will create appx. 30 static matte paintings, mostly of stylized (ie not photoreal) building exteriors & tall cityscapes. Think a slightly less bent version of 'Sin City.'
Work begins late October and continues through February. You will be receive roughly $15 an hour in bi-weekly payments.
I've been burned as a freelance artist before so let me be totally honest - due to the low budget & high workload we consider this a job for someone who's starting out, as opposed to a seasoned pro. But the director's been making B-movies for 25 years & a distribution deal is in place, so your work WILL be seen, if only by the direct-to-DVD crowd.
