I'm totally not an expert or even near. Yet ;)
But for an untrained eye... something is abit off with the colors on the piece of land the building is based on... I think it looks abit too drawn.
Maybe try to tone it darker.
Try it on.... see if you agree....

Thanks for the advices.
My purpose was to create some "graphic" matte, not realistic matte. I like very much the work of mister Yuricich who did some "graphic" mattes before the awakening of digital mattes. I like the "touch of the brush", like in the mattes of Sky Captain.
But you're right about the fact to do it more darker perhaps.

Its really a great piece....
keeps reminding me the 3rd movie from Indiana Jones series....
That end sequence in the movie with the Templar hull scene...... I liked the movie... so this painting's got some nice connetation for me ;)

This matte was a test for an adventure amateur movie too. A mix between Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider. But, for the moment, this project is interupt.
