my first matte painting

hey

this is my first attempt at a matte painting (well apart for tutorials). its not finished yet and im not 100% happy with some colouring and shadows.

do u guys have any crits or ideas to help me. like start again.

Wow this is neat I like it a lot!
The only complain I would have is the right part of the chucrch which looks too blocky, it is as if there was a big concrete block in the middle of the picture, maybe slant the roof a little ? Otherwise it's quite good I think!

The one thing that jumps to mind is that it seems to be lacking light. It seems evenly lit and therefore lacks contrast. Looking at the clouds we can see that there is lighting in them (seems to be coming from the upper righthand corner) yet the landscape is washed out. Maybe paint in some light to create a little mood. :) hope this helps
