Here is a matte painting i did for a film workshop. There should be a lot of liveaction smoke, fire, solgiers in the finall composite, but wonted to post the clean plate. Builded up in 3dsmax, overpainted in photoshop, originaly done in 4k...
c&c are welcomed

Looks great. Really nice work and has a great tone to it.
One thing, however, that stuck out real bad was the ruble on the rooftop on the right hand building. Really looks 2d.

Fantastic colors! Really great composition and a superb color choice. Well done. No crits from me.
Looks really great. I love seeing your work. I have one question, How did you do the trees between the buildings? It looks like you rendered them with the buildings in 3dsmax. Is that right? I've only used Maya and I'm still pretty new to it. Anyway, the tree's look really good however you did them. Really good piece.

Thanks for your comments.
Roop-yes, i have done the trees in 3dsmax using old plugin called Druid (grass and tree generator) and rendered them in diferent pass with alpha.
Glad you like it!

Hey zoran, can I ask you something? I am not able to do such renders like you have here. Do you still have something older which you can share with us for training purposes? I would really like to give a try on the coloring such 3D elements - never done and perhaps never will do (if I don't get a file *gg*)
