NY city prior to Earth getting sucked into a black hole

Hi everyone,

Its been a while since I last posted. I've been working on other projects, but I thought I would post this latest very much work in progress peice. It is supposed to represent the Earth just prior to being sucked through a black hole. According to research, before the planet would get sucked in all the atmosphere and then the oceans would be sucked off the planet. My problem is, how would the sky look? With no atmosphere there would be no blue sky or clouds etc. so would we see stars as well as light from the sun? Assuming the sun isn't the black hole. Any ideas out there?

If there is no atmosphere, then it should be
1.pitch black
2. Hard shadow and a very little bit of bounce light from the ground
No sky-diffuse light
Look at moon photos, man
Anyway, It seems good since it is V.I.P.
I think it will be great!

This kinda looks to me that the black hole is not sucking things away anymore. Perhaps if you had things being sucked out of your image it might convey your idea better.
