I started with a basic sketch in ps then i start to add detailes
i have used about 30 photography and about 35 layer

placing of images and color correction r gr8... and did u put one single image or chunks of scrap ...

in ur painting .... blue bloom light is may not needed from foreground to the end , about in the sky light source... i think keep radiocity light around the city... :idea: or u can keep buildings darker[contrast].. that looks to me.... all how that is gr8 for first try... :) :D

and no it's not one single image it's alot of buildings from diffrant pictures
I will fix the sky soon,and some of the high lights on the building
