Actually, I come from the 3D-sector. I work with Cinema 4D.
As I came to this site,I was fascinated by many works. So I tried my own luck on Matte Painting.

I use photos which I compose in PS 6 (oh man, 6 is rather poor of features, but it's working ;) ). I work very much with the copy brush, color correction, Layers and Masks and my eye.

Hope you like the works, to be continued - this will be a thread where I collect my photodrawings, if that's okay by the forum rules...?
I'm new, give me advices and critique, I'll brave them :)

My first Matte painting ever, it was a reference for a mural.

I used these photos (some more which I couldn't find):

that's my result:

Second matte. It was also a reference for a mural.

I used these photos (some more which I couldn't find):

My third Matte Painting. It's for a learning contest at Global-Artists (http://www.global-artists.net). Rainforest in Venezuela, on the left side you see the angel falls, the highest waterfall in the world (about 1km high).

I used these photos:

Hope you like them.
