hey i like the big rock mountain in the front. How exactly did you texture that rock. Did you use the clone tool to paint on it and cloned another picture of rock?

I combined two different photos together. Used curves to adjust the levels, and then cut into the photos to get a desired shape. Then to merge the two together I painted over them using simple paint techinques such as scaterring and color dynaimcs. This way you are able to get some randomness in your brush work and it and creates a nice texture.

Thanks man thats pretty insightful. I never understood the color dynamics and scattering fully, is this the way you set up brushes or more so technique?

That looks pretty nice man. It might be cool to add another layer of hills in the far background. I expect to see more, and it feels cut off back there. I don't know, just a suggestion. It looks bad@$$ though.

Nicely done. Evokes a feeling for sure. My only crit is that the composition seems unbalanced...right heavy.
