...it's my first post here (and first matte painting attempt), and I'm trying for a mood.Can you help me improve this at all? Allopinions and critiques are welcome.

nice start, I like the moody, heavy colors. reminds me of the early century work of traditional painters.
its hard to get many source to jive with each other, you did a cool job.
imho, the guy on the right doesnt fit, and the white center background doesnt show enough depth, leave the bridge a tad flat.
but the lower portion and guys under the bridge give a cool LOR look,
that looks great.

That "white area" in the BG was supposed to be water -- a waterfall of some sort. Needless to say it wasn't working, so out it goes (I'll make another attempt at that sort of thing later). In the meantime, tried to fix some compositional problems, but I took it too far? I also reduced & flattened the original so I'm stuck with this rez, sorry.
Anyway I would appreciate any help you could all give me.
